Velospec high-strength steels are designed for top-end performance and lightweight frame designs. This seamless tubing undergoes DOM processing for better tube tolerance and structure. Comprising 'air-hardening' characteristics from its chemistry, this alloy has the ability to further harden/strengthen TIG welded zones during its cool down.

Velospec is offered in two versions: Elite and Pro. For additional strength, especially for thin-wall profiles, the Elite tubes undergo heat treatment that raises tensile strengths up to ~1150 MPa, countering material fatigue and external impacts. Moderately lower but outstanding in toughness, the cold-drawn, non-heat-treated Pro tubes have tensile strengths up to ~950 MPa. Velospec’s US-made raw material is tested to AMS 2301 aircraft quality.
